Actor Anushka Sharma is working hard these days to promote her upcoming film Sui Dhaaga- Made In India, co-starring everyone’s favourite Smurf Varun Dhawan. “It was an absolute pleasure working with Varun (Dhawan),” said Anushka, “I could almost forgive him for ruining the ABCD franchise.”

To prepare for her role as a woman in Sui Dhaaga, Anushka Sharma gave up carbs for 6 months and eliminated vowels from her conversational vocabulary. “I don’t know if it helped or not, but I feel it will be really inspirational for people who are of the female sex, you know? Playing a human woman is always challenging”

Since the movie is about the struggles of being married to Varun Dhawan, Anushka Sharma (who is married to multi grain chip enthusiast Virat Kohli) faced some challenges in getting into the skin of the character, “I’m not married to Varun, I’m married to Virat,” clarified Anushka, “ I kept telling this to the makers, but they wouldn’t listen. I guess being a woman min this business sucks.”

On being asked whether she had to learn any embroidery or other sewing techniques for the movie, since it seems to be a major theme throughout the trailer, she said, “Not really. I used whatever knowledge I had from my role in Pari, but I don’t think it was of any importance.”
