The classic white button-down has been a staple of the wardrobes of all your favourite fashion icons. The versatile garment is now seeing a new variation. Bollywood celebrities have taken to wearing a white shirt as a bonnet on top of their heads. From Ananya Pandey to Alia Bhatt, everyone is sporting a bonnet made out of their white shirts.

“There’s a longing for the time that has gone by, and the bonnets represent their sense of nostalgia,” said a stylist we found on Quora.

“They are very easy to style,” says the stylist, on their increasing popularity amongst the stars, “They go with everything, and they also protect you from evil glares from regular folk.”
