Following is a first-person account of a 25-year-old girl tells us the harrowing tale of how she started intensely disliking her family after being ~slayed~ by Queen Kangana’s killer looks at Cannes film festival this year.

Let me start off by saying that I am, what most would call, a loving and compassionate person. I love my family. I even tag my mother in memes I chuckle at on Facebook and forward the Whatsapp jokes my father sends on our family chat group. All this before I saw a news headline that claimed that Kangana Ranaut is the reigning queen of everything at Cannes this year.

Since I have a working pair of eyes and a functioning brain, I keep a track of everything celebrities do, eat, wear and say. Otherwse what’s even the point of being a human?

So naturally I was clued in to what Bollywood celebrities, including Mallika Sherawat, were wearing at Cannes this year. But I wasn’t prepared to see Kangana.

I knew from the moment I set my eyes on that casual Instagram post that had Kangana looking like Audrey Hepburn in a sari, that things will never be the same for me. Or my family.

By the time I saw the glittery catsuit, I knew I could never love anybody the same way I loved Kangana’s unapologetic massacre of anyone else present on the red carpet, or anyone following up after her. Including my family.

I can’t look them in the eye anymore. Don’t misunderstand me, I don’t hate them. I just don’t love them anymore. It feels like I’m living with strangers now. They don’t understand that I’m not the same person anymore. Something inside me changed after I saw Kangana’s red carpet looks. I consulted several therapists who told me that my ‘obsession’ with Kangana’s Cannes looks might be a result of some deep-seated issue from my childhood, but guess they don’t teach appreciation of complete and utter ~*slayage*~ by a total bomb a*s queen on a foreign red carpet.

As of now, I am living in a hotel, payed by my ex-dad’s credit card. I don’t know if things would ever be the same again for me or my family. But if I know one thing for sure, it’s that Kangana’s Cannes looks are LITERALLY EVERYTHING.
