“It was a tight fit at first, but now it feels like home,” says rat hybrid Akshay Kumar, on the drainpipe he is currently using as a hideout/home to avoid being asked about his opinions on the ongoing farmer protests in India.

The protests have gained the attention of international political figures, including Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, who became the first world leader to condemn the government’s inability to come to a peaceful agreement with the farmers. While people have had divisive views about international figures speaking about what’s going on in the country, people have been curious to know where Canadian actor and ardent BJP supporter Akshay Kumar stands on the matter.

The Singh is Kinng actor could not be reached for comments, leading his fans and general public to wonder where he went and if he’s safe or not.

“I am perfectly safe and sound. I have lost feeling in my left leg, but that’s a small price to pay,” he assures, his voice sounding faint from inside the narrow drainpipe.

“We don’t know when, or if, he plans to come out,” says Karan Johar, on the condition of anonymity, “When I asked him about it, he just hissed at me and whimpered something about ‘Mango Daddy’ and crawled back into the drainpipe. It might be for the best.”

Akshay Kumar could not be reached for further comments because we didn’t want any.
