The much-anticipated trailer for Ranbir Kapoor’s upcoming movie Sanju launched today, garnering a largely positive response from the industry and fans alike.

The movie is based on the life of actor Sanjay Dutt, a fact that was made clear to all but Sanjay Kapoor from the teaser that was released weeks ago.

Kapoor took to Twitter to express his outrage and eventual disappointment at being “duped like a little b**ch” by the trailer.

“I heard Ranbir Kapoor, who is basically a younger looking version of me, is playing the lead, which I was mislead to believing was based on me, and my own niece Sonam has a role in it. What was I to believe?” said Sanjay Kapoor.

Apparently, Kapoor organized a trailer viewing party for all his friends and family who were left disappointed and confused after the 3-minute clip featured not even a single second of his life.

“By the looks of the teaser and the poster, I was pretty sure that it’s my life story spelled out on the big screen. Hell, even the name is Sanju. That’s what everyone calls me!” he said.

The makers of Sanju and Sanjay Kapoor’s family couldn’t be reached for a comment because they didn’t want to.
