Actor Zayed Khan is not a happy man these days. Aside from being forgotten and referred to as Fardeen Khan more often than he’d like, Zayed is also involved in a one-sided beef with Aamir Khan.

The Dangal actor recently tweeted that he would love to use, and possibly remake, one of the most popular songs in Bollywood history ‘Boys are Best Jaan Lo’ for his upcoming film Thugs of Hindostan. The song was featured in Zayed’s movie Chura Liya Hai Tumne, co-starring Esha Deol.

This didn’t sit well with Zayed, leading him to write an open letter addressed to Aamir Khan. In the letter, he absolutely refuses to let Aamir anywhere near the song, saying that he doesn’t understand the spirit of the song and, therefore, is unworthy of remaking it.

Aamir Khan hasn’t responded to this letter as he has better things to do with his time.

Dear ‘Aamir Khan’

You think you’re a popular Bollywood actor so you can get away with saying and doing anything? It doesn’t work that way in Zayed land, which is a 100% real land, my mom promised me.

Your tweet brought pain to not only me, but thousands of men across the nation who hum that song under their breath whenever faced with a crazy ranting feminazis. You think you can recreate that?

Your last movie Dangal had you teaching girls how to wrestle. You even said in that movie that your daughters are not less than any boy. Don’t you know that boys are best? I even put it in song form so that it’s easy for people to understand.

I don’t believe that girls are bad, I just think boys are best. This is why I can’t, in good conscience, let you use the song in your movie. You clearly don’t understand the spirit of the song and it’s potentially harmful to boys AND girls all over the country.

Is it my place to refuse you the rights of the song? Maybe not. Am I Fardeen Khan? Sometimes it’s unclear, even to me. It’s become a trend these days to ruin classic songs, but I’m not going to let that happen this time. I have two boys and, God is my witness, I will not let them grow up in a world where a man who thinks girls are EQUAL to boys can ruin a song that has such a powerful message.

I love my India.

Zayed.
