UPDATE: Canadian-Indian singer Raghav has clarified that his massive 2005 hit song ‘Angel Eyes’ (feat. Jucxi and Frankey Maxx) cannot be used as a clarification to break quarantine.

The lyrics of the song claim that you cannot live without ‘“some kissin’ and huggin’” and the singer assures the listener that he used to be a doubter but now that he’s found a woman with eyes like an angel’s, he is convinced that you cannot do without the aforementioned kissin’ and huggin’.

“When I wrote that song, I truly believed in it,” said Raghav, “But now I’ve realised that even people with eyes like an angel’s, can carry Corona virus.

According to him, he was contacted by several health experts to issue clarification on the lyrics as people were using the song to justify not practicing social distancing.

“They told me that people are still kissin’ and huggin’ each other,” he said, “I just want people to know that maybe you CAN live without it, I have no doubts about it.”

He encouraged people to practice social distancing during this epidemic and reserve the kissin’ and huggin’ for later.
