How to Break Up With Your Partner by Telling Them That You Can’t Be with Them Because They Haven’t Shut Down Ananya Panday’s Rant About Her Sad Life as a Privileged Star Kid With a Single Sentence

It’s never easy to acknowledge that your relationship has run its course. Break ups will always be hard, but sometimes you just have to bite the bullet and do it to avoid it becoming a bigger problem in the future.

It could be because you are not the same person you were when you started dating, or how you’re not attracted to them anymore because they could never go on Rajeev Masand’s Newcomer Roundtable and viciously shut down Ananya Panday’s ‘Poor little rich girl’ monologue by simply stating ‘“Everyone has their own struggle. But difference yahi hai ki jahan hamare sapne poore hotein hai, wahan inka struggle shuru hota hai.” (The difference is that where our dreams get fulfilled that’s where their struggles begin).

There are no right or wrong answers, but here are a few tips that can help you get through it…

1) Be direct and clear

It’s very important to make sure you’re perfectly clear with your partner as to why you’re breaking up with them. Maybe show them the clip from the Roundtable, where Gully Boy’s Siddhant Chaturvedi seizes the perfect opportunity to school Ananya Panday on her privilege, to get them to understand your reasoner breaking up more coherently.

2) Assure them that it could’ve been different

Now that you’ve made your intentions clear to your partner, don’t be afraid to tell them how things could’ve been different if they had been a newcomer in Bollywood, which could’ve led to them being invited on said Roundtable. This would make them see that it’s not personal.

3) Be prepared for hysterics

It’s not easy to accept that you’v been broken up with. So make sure you’re ready for tearful and angry accusations that you’re being unreasonable for throwing away a solid relationship after watching a short clip of Chaturvedi decimating Ananya’s Panday’s 3-hour long rant about her struggles as a rich, well-connected, daughter of a celebrity in Bollywood, with a single sentence. Stand your ground and bear through the histrionics.

4) Be transparent with them

Don’t be afraid to tell them the real reason why you’re having trouble adjusting with them now that you’ve seen that clip. Tell them how you’re unable to orgasm unless you hear Chaturvedi say “jahan hamare sapne poore hotein hai, wahan inka struggle shuru hota hai” to Ananya Panday, who was launched by Karan Johar and had several projects lined up even before her first movie debuted. While you’re perfectly OK with this fact, this might not be best for your relationship.

5) Make sure you have supportive friends

While this break up will be tough for your partner, it will be hard for you too. Make sure you have friends who have seen (and appreciated) the clip. This will ensure you have a solid support system for when you tell everyone that you broke up with your partner because they haven’t shut down Ananya Panday’s Rant About Her Sad Life as a Privileged Star Kid With a Single Sentence.
